Aside: I was at Monticello last summer. (It's definately worth seeing if you're in that part of Virginia.) Thomas Jefferson could have made a fortune farming in decent soil, given his scientific approach to farming; instead, he was trying to farm soil that was just unfit for cultivation and racked up an amazing amount of debt doing it. (Monticello is on top of a small mountain, great view but lousy soil.) -- J. _______________________________________________ eia mailing list eia@xxxxxxxxx http://lists.ellipsis.cx/mailman/listinfo/eia
