no, our plan to replace expensive sailors with trained ferrets seems to have backfired, so we will stay in port on training exercises

Just to make things simple, let's say that the Turkish fleet took the
long route and avoided Barcelona.

What path did the Turkish fleet follow ?  The Spanish III fleet
definitely
can attempt to intercept in the sea area off Corfu, and the II fleet may
be
able to attempt interception if the Turks move past Barcelona.
