    The French force consists of the French I, Guard, and Artillery corps
with a total of 24 inf. factors, 5 cav. factors, and 19 guard factors.
That's a total of 60 factors.  Overall morale is 4.4.
    So because of bombardment, the pinning force loses 2 factors before the
round begins.  France rolls 3 +1 = 4 on table 3-3, inflicting 6 additional
casualties (for a total of 8) and 1.8 morale.  The Austrian roll of 3 +1 = 4
on table 3-1 results in 10% of 37 = 4 casualties inflicted and 0.8 morale
loss.
    At the end of the first round, the Piedmont corps reinforces the French
side.  Without affecting the French morale, the Piedmont corps brings 8 inf.
and 1 cav.  So the French side will have a total of 65 factors available in
the second round.  It remains to be seen whether the Turkish force East of
Milan will attempt to reinforce the Austrians and whether the Austrian
flanking force will arrive.
