Re: [eia] Siege of Tunis, October 1805 |
So, the Tunis garrison inflicts 15% losses (which I think rounds down to nothing) and 2.3 morale loss breaking the luckless Tripolitanians in the first round. The Tripolitianians inflict 5% losses (which I think also rounds down to nothing) and 0.5 morale loss. Note: It may seem really negligent that I didn't leave a fleet with the Tunisian corps so it could ship back to Tunis in case Tunis fell. In fact that's exactly why there was a fleet in Benghazi until this month. But, I reasoned, now there's no need for that since if I take Tripoli, it makes no differerence if the Tripolitanians capture Tunis, as they'll be standing down next turn and so won't take control of it, and if I don't take Tripoli, they'll stick around to defend it. Imagine the look of horror on my face when after seeing Kyle's orders I reviewed the rule for conquering minors and found that I really would have been in danger of losing Tunisia had I not won the siege. Well, looks like I got away with being a doofus this time. Note to self: stop making mistakes. :) Thus spake dice-admin@xxxxxxx: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > > > Dice rolls requested by: Joel Uckelman <uckelman@xxxxxxxxx> > Rolls also sent to: > eia@xxxxxxxxx > > # Tunis garrison on 5-2. > > No. of sides on every die: 6 > No. of dice for every roll: 1 > No. of dice rolls requested: 3 > No. of rolls per line: 1 > > 5 > 1 > 6 > > Information on the dice server: > DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE! > Replies to dice-admin@xxxxxxx vanish into a seldom-read mailbox. > > For instructions on using the dice server, send a message with > subject "help" to dice@xxxxxxx, or see http://www.pbm.com/dice/ > > The dice server is provided by: > > Shadow Island Games > http://www.pbm.com/ > > > Original message follows: > > Return-Path: <uckelman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > Delivered-To: dice@xxxxxxx > > Received: (qmail 23927 invoked from network); 3 May 2003 16:52:09 -0000 > > Received: from scylla.ellipsis.cx (?bQ54DgUFoMCxvTwxyye+YNpmd2swZkpe?@67.37 > .29.130) > > by h42-rt.sv.meer.net with SMTP; 3 May 2003 16:52:09 -0000 > > Received: (qmail 22713 invoked by uid 500); 3 May 2003 16:52:02 -0000 > > Message-ID: <20030503165202.22711.qmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > To: dice@xxxxxxx > > From: Joel Uckelman <uckelman@xxxxxxxxx> > > Reply-To: Joel Uckelman <uckelman@xxxxxxxxx> > > X-Sobchak: You want a toe?
