[TCG] removing edges |
Kelly, [Quoted from the game log at www.janos.ca/rbl/] >[Thursday 01:18:45] not yet updated -- Kelly performs the action: remove >edge {(1,2),(0,3)} According to Rule 18 SpaceModificationTiming: Any player may cause a space change, provided it is valid. The evaluation of a player's space changes follow the procedure stated in the rule PeriodicalEvaluation with a period length of six days. Thus, your space change will only take effect on 7 December, at the next space change evaluation time. Thus the ferret will still visit your vertex tree days from now (right?). However, I would recommend that you keep your space changes secret, otherwise someone else might be able to stop you. For example, I could go to vertex (0,4) and remove edge {(0,4),(0,3)} at the same time as you remove edge {(1,2),(0,3)}, which by Rule 20 would have a null net result (since there's no unambiguous way to reconcile these two changes while maintaining the connectedness of Space). To that end, there's an option to set your space change in the first selection box on the PHP page. It's reasonably secret. (I'm the only one who can read your selected space change, and I never do.) Since Rule 20 allows you to change your mind as often as you want before the evaluation time, you aren't committed to the space change that you announced. Just make another announcement to the effect that your *actual* space change will be the one stored secretly in the PHP page. Good luck taming the ferret.
