I think _The C++ Programming Language_ is full of wit and humor. But YMMV.

I think it goes into depth about how vtables and RTTI work. But it sounds 
like the first bit is somewhat introductory. OTOH, I don't really have any 
books that go into how vtables work, and it'd be nice to have a reference 
for that aspect of C++ (oh, yeah, inheritance... now back to my 
typelists...).

If only I could make up a title like that... I gotta' assume that "Quantum 
Programming" means something else; I think quantum computers are small 
enough to move beyond the "embedded" moniker.
