[ALACPP] next week's meeting |
So folks, Sarah and Kevin and I discussed dropping our current book and picking up another one. Kevin also has a work conflict on Tuesdays and would prefer to meet Mondays and Wednesdays. I believe Sarah said Mondays work for her, but I could be wrong (Sarah, please correct me if so). Does anyone have a good idea for a next book to read? A quick perusal of Amazon yields: _More Effective C++_ _The Boost Graph Library_ _C++ Network Programming, Vol. 1_ (the ACE book) _The Design and Evolution of C++_ by Stroustrup _Standard C++ IOStreams and Locales: Advanced Programmer's Guide and Reference_ maybe _Inside the C++ Object Model_, maybe and _Practical Statecharts in C/C++: Quantum Programming for Embedded Systems with CDROM_ (j/k) In other news, I'm fooling around with Prolog this evening, but I'm not sure why... fortunately, Prolog's doing the thinking for me.
