I think that's an inappropriate use of the mackerel abbreviation. Indeed it is. That said, we've accepted that usage for a long time, and I think it qualifies as an unambiguous parameter (Rule 4E7). Also, if Wooble's action was ineffective, then we have the same problem X 5.
