Why does this sort of thing always creep into the Ruleset?

Well, I was trying to have some way for Amplitude to matter. Although
admittedly, this prop would end up helping the person in the lead to
get even more in the lead, so it might not be a great plan. But it was
the best that I could think of for now.

Actually I was referring to the vague sexual innuendo, not the "rich-get-richer" setup. I understand why the "rich-get-richer" thing keeps happening: it's because we like proposing things that can be bought, and the rich tend to be those that buy.

But somehow most Nomic games I've played have had vague sexual euphemisms just appear in the ruleset over time, apparently without anyone's intent.

Maybe Nomic players all have very active subconciousnesses, and the ghost of Freud is steering our rules.

Or maybe there's a secret society devoted to spreading this sort of thing. They're gradually subverting other games, trying to desensitize the world for their own nefarious purposes.

Fear the Illuminaughty.
