As in letters?  Good...my pieces are a bit thick for my
scanner, and my calligraphy stinks.  If it's letters...

R - rook/elephant/tank
N - knight/horse
P - pawn/soldier
K - king
B - bishop/minister

or something like that?  And how about the king's guards and
the cannons? (Please note I learned the game from people who
didn't know the names of the pieces in English.)
