[spoon-discuss] Nomic

BTW, I found this definition while wandering around in various places. I thought it was rather interesting:

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913):

Nomic \Nom"ic\, a. [Gr. ?, fr. ? a law, custom.]
Customary; ordinary; -- applied to the usual English
spelling, in distinction from strictly phonetic methods. --H
   Sweet. -- n. Nomic spelling. --A. J. Ellis.
