The thing is, what you don't see is that there are good small words to say what we need to say.  The big words we have now are merged small words...just as it takes small thoughts to make big thoughts.  We use big words now since the big words are there, but the small words are there too.  So we can, it seems, use small words to say the same things as big words; it just takes time.  And space.

That's why there are big words for the big thoughts...it saves space to use one big word vs. a bunch of small words.  As for "minister" (quote from prop.), I guess one could use Guy in Charge...Want that in the Straw Poll? :)
