spoon-discuss: Re: spoon-business: RFJ's

Not that it will make a difference, but I'm not sure the deadline can be suspended. The deadline is put forth in the rules, and you're asking a judge to violate that... As for the "spirit" of the rules, I think what is more important in Nomic is the "letter" of the law. If such technicalities were not considered, only what was intended by the rules, then the game would lose a lot of its fun. PurpleBob was able to manipulate the rules (fool you all) in such a way as to win, and that is really where a lot of the interest in the game comes from. Besides not making sense in this case, for a judge to rule in your favor there would set a really bad precident...

As the Rules cannot be scrutinised to determine the legality of PurpleBob's
win by Pooker the win should be postponed until such a time that the Rules
can be scrutinised, and the deadline on making RFJ's should be similarly
extended.

Also:

For the Dealer to use cards from the Deck to participate in a gard of Pooker
or any other Card game is clearly against the spirit of the rules and
against the spirit of the game and thus is illeagal.
