Well, last I checked there are no guidelines for selecting a Judge from 
amongst those who are eligible. If you happen to be in that group, I see no 
reason why you couldn't select yourself. Of course, if it appeared that you 
were selecting yourself overly-much, you might get booted out of office. :)
