[Spoon-business] The Daily Recognizer (Tuesday morning)

It's so much harder to get caught up when new proposals keep coming in
while you're working on them. Whee!

Regarding the Clock: the clock is currently correctly set. I haven't
adjusted it since the start of the nweek, except for the one day of Delay.
I'll assume Joel's computer fell into a time rift or something. Anyway,
the nweek started on 11 July, today's 16 July, -1 day of Delay, equals
nday 5. I think.

rachel, meet the Garbage Collector.
bd returns from Leave.
Wonko returns from Leave.
Athena joins. Welcome!
Rob goes On Leave.

Rob gives the Sushi to bd (before e went on Leave).

Wonko nominates emself for Ministry of the Force.

The bar is open: BvS receives Tequila; Wonko, Beer; Glotmorf, Champagne;
The Voice, Scotch. (Nobody ever specified that they were actually
*drinking* their alcohol, IIRC. You're just standing around holding your
drinks for no good reason.)

The pool, adjacent to the bar, is open: bd, Glotmorf, and Baron von Skippy
join the Mentor Pool.

The order of vote counting, despite Glotmorf's protestations, is not
relevant -- the measure fails regardless of whether it fails before or
after it is negated by the proposal that cancelled out the Gremlin
societies and their alleged proposals.

The Insta-Minister is paid 1 point.

Wild Card does a bunch of Grid stuff, acquiring a Sheep Gnome in the
process.

Rob (apparently) rules on CFI828 (TRUE). It's appealed: The Upper House
selects Naath, Glotmorf, and Baron von Skippy. (Yeah, I know, one of 'em
is the plaintiff and one is the de facto defendant, but if we discount
players on Leave, they're the only three eligible.)

Sadly, I'm forced to implement p843, despite my best efforts to keep the
game sane and manageable.
Created 19/6.
Created 294/1.
Dan scores 16 points.

The Voice's exceptionally silly CFI is 872, assigned to Athena.
Baron von Skippy's slightly less silly CFI is 874, assigned to Glotmorf.

"Sex and the Nomic: Chapter 1" is 861/0.
Dan's no-longer-unnamed proposal is 857/1.
"What makes the world go around?" is 862/0.
"Chits of Proposal" is 860/1.
"Dangit, Stop Stepping On My Lines!" is 863/0.
"Enrique Proposes" is very romantic, er, 864/0.
"Cleaning House" is 865/0, 865/1.
"Let's Take A Look At The BIG Channel 6 Weather Map!" is 852/1.
"Once And For All" is 866/0.
"Revenge of the Mad Overlord!" is 867/0, 867/1.
"The IOB" is 868/0, 868/1.
"On Leave, Sort Of" is 869/0.
"Ministry of Gremlins" is 870/0.
"Minister Salary Cap" is 871/0. (M-Tek)
"An Ode to the Gods of Planar Geometry" is 873/0, 873/1.
"Great Gods!" is 875/0.
"Phase... um... I lost count." is 876/0.
"1/2 Proposals" is 877/0.
"... Ministry of Gnomes proposal" is 856/1.
"It's not a slicer, it's not a dicer, Galager, what could it possibly be?"
is 878/0. (Subsequently rectified: If you're referring to the "comedian,"
and I use the term rather loosely, with the penchant for sledgehammers and
melons, it's Gallagher.)
"Unbridled? Hell no, that was merely loosely reined!" is 879/0.
