spoon-business: The Daily Recognizer (Tuesday morning)

The following corrections are made to the voting results posted
previously:

Wonko didn't vote. E was cursed. Fortunately, the only issue affected by
eir votes is 694 (the appeal, under the old rules, of CFI 688), which was
probably illegal (due to how I phrased it) and is hereby vetoed in any
event (I think we've beaten this one into the ground, folks).

The following happens before the end of nweek 16:

Glotmorf (from the Upper House) rules TRUE on CFI 712.

Naath's "LOGAS addition" is 743/0.

The stunningly brief "Let Adm. call elns when e wants" is 744/0.

"snopes.com is your friend." is 745/0.

Wonko buys Entropy Ships One through Five inclusive. They will launch at
the end of the nweek. Under Rule 493, only one of those ships can affect
Wonko's virtual dimensions (*A* DimShip is capable of carrying a Player
through DimSpace -- emphasis added), so the other five will be sorta
floating in DimSpace unattended. (Fortunately, there's no legal mechanism
for piracy, so your ships are safe.)

Since actions must occur in the order they're posted, Glotmorf's first
attempt to shoot at Wonko's DimShip fails (at the time, e didn't have
either guns or armour, which e buys in eir second dimship message).

Glotmorf buys Guns and Armor. (The rules don't say you have to land to
have those installed, but Glotmorf does so anyway, presumably to make life
a bit easier on the repair crew. E does restore previous heading
immediately, though, so it doesn't matter much either way.)

Wild Card does in fact have Guns and Armor on eir DimShip, but isn't
within range of Wonko. (E didn't specify a legal backup target, since
there is no Score ship, just the five Entropy ships; and e didn't specify
a heading change in any event.)

Glotmorf and Wild Card both request to fire shots at the start of the next
nweek; I'll determine at that time whether those shots are legal.

Nweek 16 ends; the Clock is turned Off.

Votes are counted; the results are included herein by reference.

Rocky drops a Big Rock, with a Siren (Angela).

The Bandit Gremlin steals 7 points from Wonko and gives them to Yuki.

The Bowling Gremlin has an absolutely wretched frame, as two zeroes are
generated. E thus goes into Hiding.

The Insta-Minister receives 6 points.

Wonko's five unmanned DimShips launch.

Thus ends nweek 16...

During nweek 17:

The new Gremlin number is 6.

The Immunity Idol is awarded to The Voice.

The Token of Proposals cannot be awarded to The Voice (wielding the Idol);
it goes to Glotmorf.

A Ball of Wax drops onto the Grid.

The Yeti is still in Limbo.

The Gnome Factory spits up an Alien Gnome.

The Flaming Gremlin becomes Active, and Burns Glotmorf (effectively
cancelling out the effects of the Bandwidth Gremlin).

Curt and Rod move.

The Weather updates: the Temperature drops by a massive 1 degree.

There are several new Radar Blips on the Grid, from the ten new Bonus
Boxes created during Voting. Be sure to see if you could get freebies!

rachel is placed on Forced Leave.
Yuki falls victim to Garbage Collection.

Glotmorf and Wild Card cannot fire at Wonko's DimShip (the one with Wonko,
not the five Entropy Ships), as neither is in range.

The Clock is turned back On. Today is nweek 17, nday 1.
