spoon-business: Two new Proposals. Gremlins go wild! (revised)

When you recognize my two proposals can you recognize this version
instead? What do I have to do? Can I rescind the old one and submit this
in its place, or does that do something else now?

{{

[[
This is revised to take into account the following very valid point
made by Scoff!:

Notwithstanding the issue of whether you can propose these now or not, the
Swarm Gremlins won't work unless you find a way to specify a unique
Gremlin name for each one. 'All Gremlins must have unique names, in the
form of "the **** Gremlin", where **** is a string of at least 1
alphanumeric character.'

]]

__The Gremlin Factory__
Enact a new rule:
{{
__The Factory__
There Exists a Factory. The Factory is an immovable, impassable object.
A Player who is adjacent to the Factory on the Grid may press the purple
button on the Factory. The first time this is done on any nday the
Factory shall create a Swarm Gremlin. The Administrator shall place the
newly created gremlin on the Grid at the location of the player who was
responsible for its creation.
}}

Enact a new rule:
{{ __Swarm Gremlins__

Swarm Gremlins are Gremlins.
They may be created, modified, and destroyed only as specified by the
Rules.

Upon creation of a Swarm Gremlin, the Administrator shall assign to the
newly created gremlin an identification number sufficiently distinct to
distinguish it from any other existing Swarm Gremlin. The name of the
newly created gremlin shall be "the **** Swarm Gremlin" where **** is the
gremlin's identification number in written (not numerical) form.

[[Swarm Gremlin 5 would be named "the fifth Swarm Gremlin"]]

[[ The Administrator is not required to give out these numbers in any sort
of coherent order, although for the sake of sanity I suggest that e start
at 1 and count upwards ]]

}}
}}

The Following is a new Proposal
{{
__Bribes for the Gremlin Game__
Enact a new rule:

{{ __Gremlin Influence__

Each gremlin has the influence attribute. The influence attribute
consists of two parts: a list of the players who have gained influence
over that Gremlin and the total amount of influence gained over that
gremlin. The total influence should always be twenty greater than the sum
of the player influences. Initially all gremlins have zero total influence
and no players have influence over any gremlin. No total influence or
player influence component shall ever be less than zero.

}}

Enact a new rule:

{{ __Bribes for Influence__
A player may gain influence over a gremlin by bribing the gremlin with a
multiple of ten points. This may only be done if the player is within two
units of the gremlin on the Grid, or if both the player and the gremlin
are in limbo.Upon recognition of the Bribe the Administrator shall reduce
the score of the bribing player by the amount of the bribe and increase
the bribing player's influence over the bribed gremlin by the amount of
the bribe. The administrator shall not recognize a bribe if it would
result in the reduction of the player's score to less than zero points.

}}

Enact a new rule:

{{ __Fun stuff to do with influence__

A player may politely request, by posting in the public forum, for a
gremlin over which e has influence to take a particular action. The
Administer shall roll 1dn, where n is the total influence of that gremlin.
If the result is less than the player's influence over that gremlin, and
the action is legal for that gremlin at that time, the gremlin will do as
asked. Otherwise it will spit in the player's face and move 1 unit away
from the player on the Grid. If the direction directly away from the
player is not obvious or movement in that direction is not possible it
will move in a random direction.

Gremlins do not take actions not defined by the rules.

}}

Append the following to rule 294:

{{
Gremlins may vote as specified by the rules
}}

Make the following changes to rule 355:

{{

Change "Player" in the first paragraph to "Player or gremlin".

Change each instance of "Player" in the second paragraph to "Player or
Gremlin"

Change the first two instances of "Player and a gremlin" in the third
paragraph to "gremlin and a player or a second gremlin".

append the following paragraph:

{{

Held gremlins cannot hold anything.

}}

[[I know recursive gremlins would be fun for us and a nightmare for the
admin, but it was getting just too annoying to figure out all the possible
cases.  Sorry.]]

append the following paragraph:

{{
If a gremlin is thrown at another gremlin and the target gremlin is being
held, both gremlins fall to the grid location (or limbo) where the holder
was standing. If the target gremlin is unheld then the thrown gremlin
falls to the grid location where the target was standing.

}}

}}

}}
