I still think it's possible if during chit selection the attacker also
states the number of factors present (not type or distribution in corp).
Also during chit selection either side should split their forces for an
outflank.

This way after chits are revealed, both outflanking corps are know as well
as attacker strength which would allow the defender to state whether the
battle would be a trivial combat or not.
