Reading 5.2.2.2.3 through 5.2.2.2.3.2 raises a question about the length of a supply chain. As I understand it the depot at the supply _source_ (i.e. the first depot in the chain) is also counted. If so, then reinforcements can really only be added 5 or 2 depots away from the supply source.
