I'm not positive, since I'm going by a calculator here and not the chart, but I 
think the battle goes:

round 1:  British inflict -1 I, French inflict -5 I.
round 2:  British -1 I, French inflict -7 I.
round 3:  British inflict 0, French inflict -2 I.

So the last British defenders are (just barely) killed just as the French are 
breaking.  France gains +1 PP and the keys to the city.
